Bartłomiej Gajowiec

Physiotherapist

In my practice, I primarily focus on working with patients in pain whose ailments are directly related to dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system caused by various types of tension, overuse, and injuries, as well as those for whom the cause of their condition is often the underestimated emotional factor.

Thanks to my knowledge, skills, and experience, both in diagnostics and treatment, together with the patient, I trace the root causes of their problem. This allows us to embark on a path of truly effective therapy, which from the very beginning yields noticeable results.

Since 1999, I have been running my own rehabilitation practice in the Ursynów district of Warsaw.

Experience

I gained my professional experience at the Institute of Rheumatology in Warsaw in the Reumoorthopedics department, at the Rehabilitation Center in Konstancin, at the Medicover Medical Center, at the Dantex Med clinic, and at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital in England. I also passed the theory and practice exam in manual medicine before the commission of the Polish Society of Manual Medicine and the specialization exam for the first degree of specialization in rehabilitation before the commission of the Center for Postgraduate Medical Education.

I also founded the HIKARI Foundation, which provides care for people with difficulties in locomotion and coordination. I run an aikido school where I share my professional knowledge combined with the skills acquired on the mat.

Principles of Therapy

I increasingly notice the impact of each person’s experiences on the emergence of various ailments that can later lead to actual organic diseases. Eliminating these ailments often becomes a torment for patients, as well as for specialists, due to the persistence of symptoms. The key here is to get to the root of the problem. Collaboration with specialists in psychology and psychotherapy has greatly enriched my knowledge in this area.

Since every human being is a unique and distinct entity, together with the patient, we create an individualized therapy. Conversation, knowledge, intuition, as well as simplicity and effectiveness – these are the pillars of my approach. Every ailment has its primary mechanism, specific only to a particular individual. Only by understanding this mechanism can effective treatment begin and be carried out. The second pillar is cooperation, awareness, and determination on the part of the patient, which can be equally crucial for maintaining long-term results of the efforts undertaken.

So, if a health problem seems endless, let alone has a tangible beginning, if constant visits to various offices bring no results, and successive specialists throw up their hands, uttering the unfortunate „it has to be this way, you have to get used to the pain” – it’s a sign that it’s time for real treatment…

"From experience, I know that in many cases
I can effectively help."

Effective Pain Relief

I welcome patients experiencing acute conditions as well as those who have struggled for years with persistent ailments—often told that „this is just how it is” or that „pain is something you have to get used to.” Nothing could be further from the truth…

I believe the root causes of many conditions stem from a broad imbalance in both physical and emotional well-being. The human body functions as a whole, meaning that all organs, systems, and processes are interconnected. Pain, discomfort, and other symptoms signal a disruption in this delicate harmony—illness being a tangible manifestation of such imbalance.

I invite you to my clinic in Warsaw’s Ursynów district, where I have been running my rehabilitation practice since 1999.
